I need to know how to display the last name next to the first name. It currently shows only the name.

Thank you for reaching out to us. 🙂
Please note that this is standard behaviour with WordPress. To change that, please go to Dashboard > Users > All Users and edit the right profile. You’ll have to choose the right format at the Display name publicly as field from the drop down list. Then, click on Update User at the bottom of the page.

As this is standard behavior with BuddyPress and WordPress, changing this is considered customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide. We only share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.
However, this article might catch your attention as it seems to answer to a related concern: How can i replace user’s ‘display name’ / ‘full name’ at dwqa section to his/her ‘username’ ?
