1º – is it possible to embed the youtube video in the media tab instead of downloading the file?

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Concerning your two first issue, please be aware that media are managed by rtMedia plugin, not our theme. A theme affects the presentation and visual style of your site, while plugins add all kinds of features and functionalities.

Please note that this issue is related with the use of a third party plugin, not with the use of your theme. You can copy-paste a youtube video link on the activity stream, the video will be embedded.
