Ok,
This morning while testing Matchpress after having installed it yesterday, I realized that it offered me only a tiny part of the members (while I have more than 50) whether in the choice to see a man or a woman.I proceeded to a repair in the settings of the budypress plugin (tools) and since… no more members are visible :/
“Sorry, no members were found”.
Help!!!!

Hi Gill,
If you have created some users manually, the reason why you can’t see them is because BuddyPress will only show members considered as “active members” on the site. Even if you manually activated the users, you need to log in with each user account at least once so that BuddyPress considers them as active members.
To make it easier for you, you can install the “User switching” plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-switching/). This plugin will allow you to browse your members list, then click on “Switch to” on the user of your choice. After switching, a link will appear at the bottom of your site to switch back to your admin user. You can then repeat the process for all your users and they should appear in your members page. Note that I did it with one of your member. Now, you can see him added to the directory.

Hi Manathan,
No no, all the members were not created manually, they are real users who created their accounts themselves.
What I don’t understand is why their files appear when you ask for a display in alphabetical order but do not appear otherwise??November 17, 2022 at 08:46 #43450@themodactyl- 0 Topics

Hi Gill,
I’m afraid I don’t know exactly why, as the members are managed by BuddyPress plugin. However, we know that BuddyPress will only show members considered as “active members”. Is it possible that the users didn’t logged in once since they registered?
Don’t hesitate to report this to the plugin authors. They will be more informed and better suited to help you. To go further, we invite you to post your request on their support forums: buddypress.org/support
We remain available for all support requests related with the use of your theme.

Hi Gill,
We investigated and we have some news. When filtering on Alphabetical order, BuddyPress uses the standard WordPress filter. This is why the members are visible. However, the standard view in the directory is managed by BuddyPress alone, this is why only active members are displayed.
The reason the members are not visible is because they certainly did not logged in once since they registration. Did you use the “User switching” plugin as explained in one of my last reply? This will make your members visible.
