    Hello,

I am not sure how the Forum page activity is sorted. https://flatalley.com/forums/ I tried to create new forum topics and engaged responses using multiple user accounts, but no luck.

Ideally, I would like my forum page sorted based on data of creation and recently active.

I referred to additional articles like the below, but couldn’t find an answer:
    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/135628/arrange-bbpress-topics-by-created
    https://www.buddyboss.com/support-forums/topic/forum-sort-by-freshness/

    Could you please help?

    Hi @surya1,

to set up a page as you wish you can use the bbpress shortcodes functions

    example:

[bbp-topic-index] – Display the most recent 15 topics across all your forums with pagination.

For show the recent active topics and reply can use the widget on the sidebar!

I think this is the maximum achievable. For everything else, code customization is needed.

    Thanks Andrea!

That’s a good solution. Do you know how to edit the existing Forum page? I am unable to find this in the page section in WP Admin: https://flatalley.com/forums/

Can’t edit the default page, but you can create a new one, insert the code and then change the link on menu.

Other options on the backend Settings > forums and edit the “Forum Root Slug”

    Hi @surya1,

    @youfriend
is correct, you can use the bbPress shortcodes to create forum pages with new infos, otherwise the pages will be programmatically generated by the plugin itself.

If I’m not mistaken, the default sort is “Last updated”. You can edit the forum order in WP admin, where you can manually insert the numeral order for your forum in the list. (Please see attached.)
If that is too much of a hassle, I recommend to install and activate Post Types Order (https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/) that will allow you sort your forums by dragging and dropping them in your WP admin, which will also impact the sorting order on your website. (Please see also attached.)
