If you’re trying to setup your theme but you’re experiencing errors when importing the demo content, please read the following post. These are common issues for which you can find easy and quick fixes.

Hi @djh7905,
It seems that all the credentials and the website url you sent us are incorrect.
Therefore we cannot investigate whether these errors come from our theme/plugins or not.Do you have any difficulties to install WordPress?

Because you have not replied to me before, I re-installed wordpress and theme during this period, so the password of FTP and website background has been changed.Although I have tried everything you gave me, I still cannot successfully import the DEMO.I am breaking down, please do help me, thank you very much!

I have disabled all plug-ins except the WP Importer plug-in and switched to the default TwentySeventeen theme,I successfully imported “https://raw.githubusercontent.com/WPTRT/theme-unit-test/master/themeunittestdata.wordpress.xml”.

We’ve also met an error when uploading the demo content file.
To help us getting clues and find a solution to this issue, please activate logging on your website, just turn
WP_DEBUG
to true, by pasting the following code lines in your wp-config.php file, just before the line that says ‘That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.’:// Enable WP_DEBUG mode define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true ); // Disable display of errors and warnings define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false ); @ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

As predicted, we’ve met an error again when uploading the demo content file…
However this time, thanks to the code snippet that you’ve recently added to your
wp-config.php
file, we should be able to read the error.Could you please share the content of your
debug.log
file with us? You can post the content of this file as plain text in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.After having reviewed your next reply, we’ll be able to tell you if the issue is caused by our product or insufficient memory allocation and/or file permission misconfiguration for your server.
In that case, we’ll recommend you to transfer the error logs to your server hosting support.

Hi @djh7905,
From what we can see in your logs, your issue seems to be caused by a server misconfiguration. Something might be going wrong with the way directories, permalinks and URL are set.
We advise that you transfer these error logs to your server hosting support. They will be better suited and have the needed tools and access to your server to solve your issue.
