Up::0Hi, I’m having a problem with a few things, that seem like they should be part of the original setup of the theme but seem to be overlooked.
First is the Member Directory. Searching members in a member directory seems like it should be the number 1 priority, but the most visible button is All Members, which is already shown by default anyway. It doesnt make sense to me. The Search button is off to the right behind an obscure looking setting button. How do I get a member search button to appear in text like the all members button? the idea that it pups up is great but the buttons on this page dont make sense the way they are currently: https://pinonboard.com/members/
Second problem I have is the inability to work on the registration page. How can I create a landing page for my site that has two buttons, the registration and login, that could pop up as forms, the way that login does on the registration page currently. That way I can welcome users to the site and have them easily navigate to registering or to logging in depending if they are new or not. I already use the Private sites plugin, which also seems like it should be a native thing for a social site such as Cera. This makes no sense. Please help me understand why its set up like this.
The third problem is an error. I cannot add functions to php through the WP theme editor. It tells me that I have to upload through SFTP and then deletes all the functions. I have created a child theme and it happens there too. This is the first site in my history making sites that doesnt allow you to edit the functions.php without having to FTP it in. what is going on there?
Thanks, I appreciate any insight you have. Also sorry if this posts twice. It appears that it did not post and I had to write all this again
TY, Brendan

Hi Brendan, 🙂
Thank you for your great feedback.
It would be indeed very nice to make the search button more visible in the Members directory.
Please note that I took the liberty to move this topic to our Feature Requests forum. As your idea could be a nice addition to our theme, we will implement this feature if other community members upvote your request.
We’ll keep you informed. Thank you very much for contributing to this theme!
Thank you for bring these other issues to our attention. We’re glad to answer any question related with the setup of our theme.
However, it is very difficult for us to provide the best support possible and to keep track of issues and their resolution if so many questions are asked in the same topic.
Moreover, it’s easier for us to share the resolution for a single issue with other members of our community facing the same problem. So, could you split your questions into different topics, please? One question = one topic.
By doing this, you will be making a great contribution to this forum, and we thank you very much for that! 🙂Thank you.

So if this is representing the post about the member search. How do I solve this problem, without having to wait for people to upvote a question in an obscure support forum, which may never happen. I need a solution to this problem. Can you help me by providing a snippet or directions on how to create or aler the button to respond to the same styles as the All Members button?

Hi Brendan,
This is standard design with our theme, I’m afraid.
As this is not breaking the page, changing this is considered customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide.
We only share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.
If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you hire a freelancer to do it for you.
If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend you to require the services from Envato Studio freelancers (https://studio.envato.com/explore/websites-programming). This web platform gives you access to developers who have already experience with theme customizations, and for very competitive prices.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi @wervil,
Thank you for sharing this idea with our community.
Your idea would have been a nice addition to our theme but unfortunately, this feature request hasn’t received any upvote from other community members in months. Sadly, we have to decline it as we are trying to keep this forum tidy.
We really appreciate your enthusiasm when using our products. Feel free to keep on sharing other ideas that might be integrated in the future.
Best regards,
