    Hi @brendan,

    This feature is managed by the “Verified Member for BuddyPress” plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-verified-member/).
    Verified members will have a twitter-like “verified” badge displayed on the front-end.

    The settings if this plugin can be found in the settings panel of BuddyPress (Settings > BuddyPress > Verified members tab).
