Friend request not showing up

    Hi,
    For some reason, I can’t see any sent friend request…
    I see the notification that I have a new request, but when I click on the notification I see “you have no pending friendship requests”.

    I turned all plugins off, I left only Buddypress and Cera’s essentials plugins and I still see the problem, so I continued to turn plugins off and I notice that after turning off “Grimlock for BuddyPress” I finally see the notification about the friend request with option to accept/reject.

    Not sure why but “Grimlock for BuddyPress” is a troublemaker here.

    Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
    You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.

    Hi Manathan,

    I would love to, but it’s an Intranet page, so the only 2 ways to provide you access is to:
    1) zoom call with remote access / or via TeamViewer
    2) I could ask IT to provide you a temporary VPN access but this will take a while…

    Can you please confirm me that Cera is up to date as well as all the activated plugins, please? Can you please provide me the version number of Cera, Grimlock, BuddyPress and Grimlock for BuddyPress, please?

    I can confirm. Envato plugin is on.

    • Cera – Version 1.1.5
    • Grimlock – Version 1.3.18
    • BuddyPress -Version 7.3.0
    • Grimlock for BuddyPress – Version 1.3.17

    In addition… the notifications are working well on the external copy of my page…
    Is it possible that this issue is caused by the Intranet page character (so located on the internal company network, behind the firewall)?

    Woho!
    I got the troublemaker! One small option that needs to be checked!
    Under BuddyPress settings, we need to be sure to have “Enable BuddyPress to WordPress profile syncing” ON. Otherwise, the notification will be announced but we won’t be able to see it.
