Hello,
I am not able to search my members / Users with the “gwangi Profile Search” at the start page.
I imported many demo users into my wordpress installation,
configured the “men / female” atttributes, but when I search for “men / female” with the
Start page profile search, it returns ZERO results.What am I doing wrong?
Please find attached some screenshots.

Additionally, the fields “men / woman” ( in German “Mann/Frau” ) returns the opposite Results ( see Screenshot )

I believe that is the normal behavior for the BuddyPress member count, because BuddyPress will only display members that are considered as “active”. A member is considered active only if they logged in at least once. On the other hand, WordPress will display all your users regardless, which is why you see more users in the backend compared to the frontend directory. I hope this information helps you get a better understanding of the way BuddyPress works.
Concerning the opposite results, I think it might be related to the translation. If you translated the gender field after the registration of the members, they still might have “men” and “women” set in their profile. We’ve addressed a very similar issue in another topic.
