    Hello,

The widgets in this theme are very complicated. They also do not even load properly in the widget block system in the CMS. Pretty rough.

I have no idea how to add widgets to the homepage. Seems nothing works. What I want to do is add the “Members/users” widget to the large blank space shown in my homepage. Also see screenshot. Do you see the large empty white space near the bottom of the homepage? https://tabletopgamerz.com/

How do I add widgets in this area? Again, I’ve tried, nothing works.

    Thanks for you help.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

It seems the screenshot has not been added. It’s best if we take a quick look at this. Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    Thank you.

    Hi Mike,

This page is build with sidebars. Before Gutenberg, this is how we build our pages on our demo.

Anyway, you have to add a the widget of your choice in Customize > Widgets > Homepage. I added the default widgets of BuddyPress to display recent members, but this widget has been design to be displayed in a sidebar. As this column is too wide, it might look strange.

As this is standard design with our theme and BuddyPress, I’m afraid changing this is considered customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide. As you know, we only share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.

If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you hire a freelancer to do it for you.

If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend you to require the services from Fiverr. This web platform gives you access to developers who have already experience with theme customizations, and for very competitive prices.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Thanks.

I don’t quite understand how to add widgets to this area myself. I go to Appearance>Customize>Widgets>Homepage. There is not there. What do I do? How do I place widgets here?

Actually. I just tried to remove two widgets on the homepage. See attached.

Can you please remove the members widget that you placed there, and also, the article subjects widget that is shown in the right side in dark blue?

I tried to remove them going into appearance>widgets, but it did not seem to work.

    Thank you.

    Hi Mike,

It’s an introduction as it was first time you enter to widget area. You just need to click on “Got it”. Note that you can click on the blue pencils to open the related widget. This shortcut might help you better manage the widgets.

    Best,
