Hello!
I’m trying to improve members widgets image quality as the thumbnails are resized very poorly. Same with the profile avatar picture member swap card. Could you please advise if there is an easy way to fix this image quality issue? Find attached screenshot with the widgets I’m referring to.
Thank you!

Hi Plesey,
Hope you’re doing well. 🙂
We’ve recently addressed a very similar issue in another topic. To find out more, please click on the following link:
In this topic, the images were blur due to an Optimisation plugin. Could you please deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup and all existing custom PHP code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?
Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
We’re waiting for your feedback.
Thank you.

Hi!
As per your recommendation:
– I deactivated all non required plugins, including my image optimizer plug in (EWWW Image Optimizer)
– Cleared cache and all existing custom PHP code snippets from my code snippets plugin and the “bp-custom.php” file,And did not see any changes caused by those actions. However, I saw some improvement on members profile avatar and members directory image only when I uploaded a higher quality image. But those same better quality images still lost their quality (became blur) on the members swap page and the activity thumbnails.
I also read all the articles mentioned on the reference post from this forum and the css code “to Change BuddyPress Avatar Sizes” from the BuddyPress Support Link, did not affect the avatars in any way no matter what width/height size I add on the code. So the current thumbnail sizes and their quality for all pages might be imposed on another level outside BuddyPress maybe (that being Gwangi Theme or Youzify?)
I also understood from the reference post you provided that you are sort of reinforcing fixed/defined width and height for all images on the site, including the avatar images. So, since Members Swap view is a feature introduced by Gwangi theme, could you please advise how we can reinforce a better or original quality image on the members swap cards? How about the activity Thumbnails?
I’m really clueless on this topic. So I’d appreciate if you could advise or help with pointing to the right direction?

Hi Plesey,
Thank you for your feedback. 🙂
I’m sorry to read none of these advises helped you solve this.
Please note that member Swap is a feature managed by BuddyPress. Our theme just apply some css style to make it fit with the global design.
To be sure, can you please try to change for another theme and check if these images are still blur?
We’re waiting for your feedback.

Hi,
I switched to another theme and even deactivated Youzify plugin on that new theme, and yes, all images were still blurry :/
I think we just reached a dead end. It might be BuddyPress altogether. I´ll have that checked by a developer.Thank you for the help
