We will implement this feature if other community members upvote this request. We’ll also look for a way to display the online status colored bubble on member profiles. We’re not sure if that’s possible with BuddyPress.

Thank you for your feedback.
After looking into it, decided we would add the “online” status to the user profiles. We have added it to our roadmap so it is scheduled for one of our upcoming updates, but at this time I’m unable to say when it will be released.

Youzer would indeed be a good alternative too, but even if we decide to implement Youzer compatibility, we still have to consider those who don’t want to use that plugin or don’t want to buy an extra plugin, which is why we will keep that feature in our roadmap.

We recently release a new version of Gwangi containing these additions:
– Online state on the member profile.
– Gwangi is now compatible with the Youzer plugin.Updating your theme and all the required plugins to the latest version should add these new features.
