Hi Byron,
Thank you for buying our theme. We hope it will meet all your expectations! 🙂
We recently encountered an issue with a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate that expired a few days ago. As this article points out, this deletion caused a lot of problems on many sites: Fortinet, Shopify and more report issues after root CA certificate from Lets Encrypt expires.
Be aware that we recently released a new version of your theme to solve this. Updating your theme, Grimlock plugins and all the other recommended plugins to the latest version should fix this issue. 🙂
If you have correctly updated the theme and Grimlock, the problem should now be fixed. You might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). So to see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
To update your theme, you can download and install the Envato Market plugin (envato.com/market-plugin/) on your WordPress site.
Once the plugin is installed and activated, go to “Envato Market” in your admin menu and follow the instructions under “Activate Envato API Connection”.
When this is done, you will see your purchased themes under the “Themes” tab and you should be able to update your theme from there by clicking the “Update available” button.
After updating the theme, we really suggest you to reset your WordPress database using WP Reset (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/) and start fresh with our setup wizard. You can easily install the theme by relaunching the setup wizard in Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Setup, as it will programmatically do every steps for you.

Hi Ryan,
We’re sorry to read you’re facing this issue.
In this specific case, we really think this issue is coming from somewhere else as our theme setup works perfectly on our end. If you’re in a hurry, be aware that you can always import the demo manually. 🙂
In your ThemeForest profile, in the Download part, you can download the package of the theme you bought. When you’ll click on Download, you’ll see some options to get specifics files. We suggest you to click on All files & documentation. Then, unzip this file. You’ll find any files needed to import the demo correctly in it.
Secondly, install the theme on your website without launching the Theme Setup. You’ll find the theme in the unzipped folder. Go to theme and upload the zip on your website by going in Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Add New.
Then, you need to download the needed plugins on your website BEFORE importing the pages content. To know which plugin you need, please take a look at our ThemeForest page. You’ll be able to learn more about the compatible plugins with our theme and their functionalities.
After installing all the plugins you need, please take a look in your Dashboard. On the top of the screen, you might see this notice:
The following required plugins are currently inactive: Envato Market, Grimlock and Kirki Toolkit. The following recommended plugins are currently inactive: Grimlock Animate, Grimlock Login and Member Swipe for BuddyPress.
In this warning notice, click on Begin activating plugins and install all the required and recommended plugins. The listed plugins in this notice might be different as it also depends of the plugins you installed on your website. If this notice isn’t displayed, it means all necessary plugins are already installed.
Finally, your website is ready for the demo import. Here are some articles form our documentation that might help you:
- Importing Manually Posts and Pages
- Exporting and Importing the Customizer Options
- Importing The Widgets Manually on Your Website
Once you followed these steps, your demo should be fully imported. In case you need further help with this, please don’t hesitate to come back to us.
In case you would like to investigate what might stop our theme setup to work on your end, please give a quick look to the following post, as we address the most installation common issues:
In most cases, these type of issues are caused by server misconfigurations. Please check the WordPress prerequisites here: WordPress Requirements.
For better performance (and better security) we obviously recommend the version 7.4 or greater for PHP. Nevertheless, if this is not possible for you (server type, incompatibilities with plugins, etc.) we recommend at least version 5.6.X.
Finally, this topic might also catch your attention as one of our user shared the server configuration that has helped him to solve a similar issue:
For all refund requests, please review the Envato Refund policy:
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-
https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policyIf your issue is matching the described conditions, please introduce your request to Envato. It will be redirected to us.
We hope this will help! 🙂

Hi Byron,
After checking on your website, I have found that there was indeed an issue with our demo import files which prevented the demo from importing correctly.
I have fixed that issue and tried the import process, which was successful. So the test content is now installed and ready for you to use.You also mentioned that you wish for your website to be private and only accessible to logged in users. To do that, we recommend My Private Website to make you entire website private. Simply install and activate this plugin, and then go to the plugin settings page (Settings > Private Site) in order to adjust options according to your needs.
If you need more help, this tutorial seems to explain every steps in great details: How to Make Your WordPress Blog Completely Private.
Hi Ryan,
The import issue should now be fixed, so please try to run the import setup again and you should be good to go.
Best regards,
