Hello,
I am nearly done with my Intranet page using Cera.
Now I’ve found that my News page does not like the demo at all, but I would like it to look like that.I’ve added an image of what my news page looks like.
I thought this would be able to be found in the buddypress settings, because I had the same issue with the activity, members and groups pages.October 6, 2020 at 16:02 #24007MuamerParticipant@mllapan- 13 Topics

Hi, @ronald1993.
1. Create page named “Homepage” (If you imported demo, skip this step.).
2. Go Setting -> Reading -> Static page -> Homepage (Choose one you have created or if you imported demo, choose imported homepage.).
3. Go Appearance -> Widgets -> Add some widgets to Homepage sidebar. (Skip this step if you imported demo.)October 7, 2020 at 07:21 #24028@themodactyl- 0 Topics

Hi @ronald1993,
If you’re convinced that something went wrong during the import, it’s recommended to address the issue right now as it might lead to other problems in the future.
In this case, we really suggest to use the setup wizard to install the theme, as it will programmatically do every steps for you.
You can easily reset your WordPress database using WP Reset (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/) and start fresh with our setup wizard.
Thank you @mllapan for your help. #SharingIsCaring ??
Regards,

Hello Manathan,
I have used the setup wizard to install the theme.
It might be due to some pages localizing to my countries local language that some of my settings went wrong because I had to change the following at the start to make sure my members, activity and group page were working. (see image)
Now I think it is something similiar with the news page but I cannot fix it like those.

Update: I don’t know what went wrong on my “live” platform, but I have installed the theme twice now on a localhost, both times the news page is working as expected.
With that information I will do a quick rebuild to my live platform.
Consider this topic closed.
Thankyou for reaching out to me @manathan and @muamer

Hello @manathan,
After installing the theme again my news page is once again broken. And i have found the cause of the news page being broken.
As soon as I apply step 3 of the dashboard fix (deleting the 3 pages), the news page goes to the state of the picture in my first message.
Can you confirm if this happens for you aswell?October 8, 2020 at 08:56 #24078@themodactyl- 0 Topics

Hi @ronald1993,
Thank you for your feedback.
Can you confirm you’re using Elementor, please ?
If I understand correctly, you were capable to import the demo successfully in local. So, my best guess is that this type of issue is caused by server misconfigurations. Please check the WordPress prerequisites here: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
For better performance (and better security) we obviously recommend the version 7.2 for PHP. Nevertheless, if this is not possible for you (server type, incompatibilities with plugins, etc.) we recommend at least version 5.6.X.
Finally, this topic might also catch your attention as one of our user shared the server configuration that has helped him to solve a similar issue:

Kind regards,

Yes, @manathan I am using elementor.
In my local attempts yesterday I did not go through with the dashboard fix, as I thought something just had gone wrong.
So I just tested my finds on my localhost. And as soon as I delete one of the elementor pages, it breaks the news page.I also cannot go from edit page -> elementor. It runs into an error and is not able to change the page.

Thank you for your feedback.
It’s best if we take a quick look at this…
Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Thank you.

Hello @manathan
Yes, it is working perfectly now!
During step 3 of the dashboard fix this must be happening.Might be worth to add as an adition to the fix 🙂
