    Hello,

I have decided to use the BBPress Forum overview page as a direct link from the menu-sidebar because it has a better overview for the users.

Anyways there are two little parts that are still in english which I don’t know how to translate. Please see the attached screenshot for clarification.

    Best regards
    Rene

    Hi Rene,

Some strings might still be in English in the .po files of the following plugins:

    • Grimlock for bbPress
    • bbPress

They each contain a POT file that can be translated using Poedit under the languages directory. For instance, bbPress contains: wp-content/plugins/bbpress/bbPress.pot. You have to open this file with Poedit and translate all strings. hen saving, it will generate a .mo and .po files.

Usually, we recommend to rename both translated files bbpress-your-language-code.mo and bbpress-your-language-code.po. Then, please replace from the file name by the language code of your choice, for instance fr_FR for french.

Finally, the best practice is to move the files in the plugins languages directory of your whole website: wp-content/languages/plugins directory. There, you will find the translation for other plugins.

This will also ensure that the files will not be lost during any future update.

    Hope this will help you.

    Best,

    Rene

    Hello,

thank you for the reply. I was able to translate one of the strings. Another string called “Freshness” which shows when the forum was last updated, however, I couldn’t find on either bbpress or Grimlock for bbpress translation set. Have you got any idea where I can find it?

    Best regards
    Rene

    Hi Rene,

We’ve recently addressed this very issue in another topic. It seems bbPress removed this string from his plugin. We’ll have to fix that ourselves in the next update. We’ll be back to you as soon as the update is available. To find out more about it, please click on the following link:

    “search…”

If you have further questions or requests, feel free to create other forum topics.

We’ll be back to you as soon as the update is released.

    Cheers,

We have just released a new update of Grimlock for bbPress. Updating this plugin to the latest version should fix this issue. 🙂

After the update, the problem should now be fixed. However, you might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
