Hi Marvin,
Thank you for buying our theme. We hope it will meet all your expectations! 🙂
Usually, the setup wizard should make the demo import run smoothly, but issues can occur sometimes. Please give a quick look to the following post, as we address the most installation common issues:
In most cases, these type of issues are caused by server misconfigurations. Please check the WordPress prerequisites here: WordPress Requirements.
For better performance (and better security) we obviously recommend the version 7.4 or greater for PHP. Nevertheless, if this is not possible for you (server type, incompatibilities with plugins, etc.) we recommend at least version 5.6.X.
Finally, this topic might also catch your attention as one of our user shared the server configuration that has helped him to solve a similar issue:
We hope this will help! We’re waiting for your feedback. 🙂
Kind regards,

Hi Rubber,
Thank you for your feedback.
It’s best if we take a quick look at this. Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Be sure your support team is currently doing their best to offer the best support possible despite the high volume of requests. We provide support only during belgian business hours : Monday to friday, from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CEST. Our response time can be up to 1 business day.
Rest assured that we will still do our best to handle your requests as soon as possible!
Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for granting us access to your WP Admin Rubber Duck.
We made some test and we think this issue is related to the permission on your server.
To help us getting clues and find a solution to this issue, please activate logging on your website, just turn WP_DEBUG to true, by pasting the following code lines in your wp-config.php file, just before the line that says ‘That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.’:
// Enable WP_DEBUG mode define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true ); // Disable display of errors and warnings define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false ); @ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
More on this in the following topic: Debugging in WordPress.
Then, could you run the setup wizard again, please? You’ll probably met this error again when installing the demo content. However this time, thanks to the code snippet that you’ll add to your
wp-config.php
file, we will be able to read the error.Then, could you share the content of your
debug.log
file with us please? You can post the content of this file as plain text in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us. After having reviewed your next reply, we’ll be able to tell you if the issue is caused by our product, a third party plugin or any type misconfiguration on your server.If we’re not able to help, we’ll recommend you to transfer the error logs to the plugin author or to your server hosting support.
Thank you.

Is there a possibility that this can be solved today?
Im a bit pressed in time regarding this project. I really like this theme, but I just dont want to be stuck at the install phase of the theme.
Is a full refund possible of the theme?
Hoping for a speedy solution..
Best,

Hi Marvin,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you’ve been able to import the content manually. However, we’ll do our best to find out from where this issue is coming from in order to prevent a related issue from happening.
For all refund requests, please review the Envato Refund policy:
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-
https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policyIf your issue is matching the described conditions, please introduce your request to Envato. It will be redirected to us.
Thank you for bring this new issue related to Elementor to our attention. We’re glad to answer any question related with the setup of our theme.
However, it is very difficult for us to provide the best support possible and to keep track of issues and their resolution if so many questions are asked in the same topic. Moreover, it’s easier for us to share the resolution for a single issue with other members of our community facing the same problem.
So, could you move your other question into a different topic, please? One question = one topic.
By doing this, you will be making a great contribution to this forum, and we thank you very much for that!Thank you.

Hi Guys,
It has been a week now since I dropped this problem.
So far I have had 2 standard answers, but not a solution to my problem.
Meanwhile I have managed to get the thing manually, kinda… I mean I still have other issues
I find the lack of communication a bit under performance If I compare them to other themes.
Hopefully this will trigger for a speedy solution to get the wizard up and running for me
Best, Marvin

Hi Marvin,
We’re sorry to read that our support standard doesn’t reach your standards. When trying to fix an issue, it’s normal I send you all the common issues and their resolutions similar to your issue. What better way to proceed by elimination to find out exactly what your problem is related to? Now that we eliminated all the common issues, we have to investigate and the best think for you to do is wait.
As you know, we provide support only during belgian
business hours : Monday to friday, from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CEST. Moreover, our response time can be up to 1business day.As I told you, we need to investigate. I’m sure you can imagine that we have a lot of help requests to manage. Rest assured that we will still do our best to handle your request. We’re working hard to get back to you as quickly as we can and we really appreciate your patience!
Thank you for your understanding.
In the meantime, feel free to check out our documentation resources for more help:

Hi Marvin,
After investigating on your site I’ve noticed there are some automatically generated files all over your plugins and themes containing code that looks very much like malware code (for example: “.elementor.php” file in elementor, “.buddypress.php” file in buddypress, etc… same thing in every plugin and theme). And when I try deleting one of these it instantly gets re-created which is a typical malware behavior. Unfortunately I cannot investigate further on the wizard issue while this potentially malicious code is running on your website.
To take care of this and make sure the malicious code is completely remove, here’s what I recommend :
– Change your FTP password.
– Delete everything in your FTP. Delete the whole WordPress install and everything inside to make sure any malicious file gets removed along with it.
– Delete your database and re-create a new one with a new password.
– Reinstall WordPress. Using a new password for your admin account would also be an additional layer of safety.
– Download a fresh copy of Gwangi and re-install it, then try using the wizard again.Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Thank you for granting us access to your WP Admin Rubber.
Could you add the same code snippet below to your
wp-config.php
file?// Enable WP_DEBUG mode define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true ); // Disable display of errors and warnings define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false ); @ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
Then, could you share the content of your
debug.log
file with us please? You can post the content of this file as plain text in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us. It will help us getting a clue of this issue.Thank you.

define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );// Disable display of errors and warnings
define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );
@ini_set( ‘display_errors’, 0 );/* Add any custom values between this line and the “stop editing” line. */
/** Gwangi */
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);
define(‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */
