    Hi Manathan,

I am not sure why your child-theme works like this, because every other theme that I have used inherits the settings from the main theme, to redo all the customizations is something that will be helpful to know before you start using the theme, because they interfere with one another.

If anything there should be an option to at least export the theme settings then import them into the child theme.

    Thanks, Coen

    Hi Manathan,

Not sure how a screenshot will help as the issue is more setting related. I have setup the theme using the main theme, when I want to then install the child-theme, all the colours and fonts revert back to the original settings. After setting up the child theme again, I realised that some features do not update like the footer settings.

Usually a child theme should take all the settings set on the original theme. I need to add some code to the functions.php and cant do that with the theme, because it will be wiped if I update.

It also changes all the avatars under setting > discussions, not sure if it is related but it’s not what it will normally look like.

    Hi Manathan,

Thanks for the quick reply, I have made sure I have all the latest updates, I also use litespeed cache and tried it with and without and cleared everything and still have the same issue, the Avatar is updated under Administration > Users, but for some reason it defaults to the theme Avatar on the dropdown and profile.

I have also tried to deactivate non-essential plugins, to test if it wasn’t a conflict and it didn’t seem to be.

If you can please look into it for me. Thanks

    Hi Manathan,

Thank you for getting back to me, I didn’t see your reply because I didn’t get any mails, but thought I would have a look here.

I have since then come right, thank you very much. I have another question if you don’t mind.

I am trying to make the grimlock widgets look the same as the cera theme widgets on my dashboard. Do you know the CSS Class I should use?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind Regards,
