Nope, I did not do anything, this is default behaivor
The issue is solved. This is because we used WP Mail SMTP and BuddyPress has problem with this plugin.
Thanks to this topic https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-smtp-settings/, we can solve the issue by simply adding this line
// force BP to use wp_mail
add_filter( ‘bp_email_use_wp_mail’, ‘__return_true’ );Hope this will help

I already tried to send test email via WP Mail SMTP and it worked well.
But when I try to use the Grimlock Register widget, I’m not able to receive any emails

For more information, I used WP Mail SMTP Lite with SendGrid and I’m able to receive email from Contact Form and able to receive an activation email when add new user via WordPress Dashboard as well.
Hi Manathan, seem like it is a bug because when I delete “Thought Leaders” Role and create “Thought_Leaders” (without spacing). Then it worked perfectly
