    Hey, I was able to solve the issue.
    If anyone is stuck on the same issue, I had turned Site tracking option to off in settings > buddypress.
    After turning it on, everything seems to work fine.

    Thank you for all your effort.
    We turned off the forums and group functionalities of buddypress since we don’t need them, so our configuration is not the same as in the screenshot.

    Anyways, since we can’t figure out the problem, we probably will go with the default wordpress search.

    We restored a previous version of the website and the things are working now. Thanks. We changed the accessibility of the account as we had a presentation meeting with our client and wanted to avoid unprecedented changes during the presentation due to you guys troubleshooting 😛 . Anyways, the problem is sorted now by restoring our site from one of the previous backups.
