No harm, I am always doing update on test version before prod
To solve issue , I disabled Grimlock for Buddypress by FTP, doing so I had again access to admin, I updated Grimlock and then enabled back Grimlock for BuddypressFebruary 20, 2020 at 14:05 #10172JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

Hi @themopteryx
Issues mentionned before are solved
Only one extra point, Search form in responsive on all templates (right sidebar, left sidebar, full width) is not the same than the one on desktop.
I have set up in Widget sidebar 1 and sidebar 2 my template search forms, it is displayed on desktop but in responsive it is the search form you created that display
Is that a normal behavior ?
Deleting you search form might solve issue but if I need to create an other search form in the future, will it be displayed in responsive ?February 13, 2020 at 16:18 #9963JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

That’s good news !
Geo My WP is the most advanced geolocation plugin so that’s great Gwangi will support it.
Philopress is simpler and easier but do not match my needsConcerning Geo My WP, there is a premium Settings extension including Radius/Distance slider in font end search form
Screenshot https://geomywp.com/wp-content/uploads/edd/2018/07/radius-slider-front-end.png
Wil you also make compatible this features or only stick to basic options form Geomywp ?January 27, 2020 at 15:51 #9520JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

That’s not a compatibily issue with the plugin, you need to do it for BuddyPress Member Types feature. It is core feature not enabled by default.
You can use few lines of code to enable this feature.
I will not waste my time going back and forth between you and Brajesh if it is to find a solution !
But if you keep your position and do not make any effort trying to consider that you might have done something wrong that’s a waste of time for me !
Anyway, do it or not, I stop here on this topic, close it.November 12, 2019 at 13:31 #8422JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

Hi
Please find below answer received from Member Type Pro plugin developpers
Issue you have seem more to be from the choice you made for the template not compliant with core feature of Buddypress
What do you think ?
Any chance you try what Brajesh suggest to see if it solves issue ? Maybe it will also solve issue with BP ToolkitIt seems that Gwangi developers don’t have much experience with BuddyPress. They are incorrect in pointing about the plugin.
The issue is related to how BuddyPress Member Types directory works(It is a core feature of BuddyPress).
On the member types directory(say members/type/student), The queried object is not setup and that’s why they are getting 0.
They should use buddypress()->pages->members->id. It is better choice for knowing the members directory.
Also, they do not need to delete transient or cache or anything. These are no required.

I have just installed a clean Buddypress with Gwangi and Member Type Pro so no risk of conflict
Problem is the same
SIDEBAR LEFT https://prnt.sc/ptoezs
SIDEBAR RIGHT https://prnt.sc/ptof8u
FULL WIDTH https://prnt.sc/ptofgm
DEFAULT https://prnt.sc/ptofn3Member type is a taxonomy
Can you please check if Gwangi template Sidebar left and Sidebar Right handle correctly taxonomy ?Brajesh (Buddydev) is developping plugins that works out of the box with any template ; there shouldn’t be any reason that Gwangi cannot display correctly member type on Directoy URL
Thanks
Johan

Hi
I have done more testing with MEMBER TYPE PRO changing template of the page “Member”
When sorting members with URL ” membres/type/slug ” (member type pro feature), it works when member page has template default or full width but issue is with sidebar
Here’s screenshot
DEFAULT TEMPLATE https://prnt.sc/pss82g
FULL WIDHT https://prnt.sc/pss8j8
SIDEBAR RIGHT https://prnt.sc/pss7gi
SIDEBAR LEFT https://prnt.sc/pss92rSince it works on default and full width template, ss it a problem of compatibility with member type pro or is it an issue on template sidebar (right and left) ?

I have requested Andrea (BP Profile Search) about age range slider, here’s his answer
Apparently there is no need to make any change at plugin level to have age range slider, it can be done in form templateIf you look at the default form template (file bp-profile-search/templates/members/bps-form-default.php), the age range is implemented in lines 121-123.
The min and max values are sent to the server as ‘field_4_age_range[min]’ and ‘field_4_age_range[max]’ (replace 4 with the field ID of your field).
If you edit the template to implement a different UI, that’s fine, as long as you send the min and max values with the same name. No changes are needed to the plugin itself.
Please note that Gwangi provide their own BP Profile Search form templates, so you may want to edit those instead.

@mignon
You can find EMAIL in the left sidebar of WP ; that’s the menu of BP email template.
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/pi0k676.1 is not good ! When you do the test, you can have details of what to improve.
If your email are set properly, I am pretty sure you have a problem of deliverability with your emails
You need to set up SPF record on your domain name that will help to avoid to have your email to be flagged as spamOctober 11, 2019 at 17:57 #7999JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

In menu EMAIL you should have an email “Pending account – Activate your account” for situation “Sender has opened an account”
This email should be published
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/phzo3vIf you do not have this email, you can reset default settings in Tools > Buddypress > checkbox reset email and click repair. Better to make a backup before doing it.

Hi
I have tested “BuddyPress Auto Activate Auto Login” with Gwangi, it is working fine.
Buddydev has a lot of useful plugins and has great support.Concerning your problem with activation email not received, might be 2 reasons :
1 – Set up of BP Emails /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=bp-email
Check that you have the email template properly installed2 – Your emails go to spam folder
You can install a plugin like WP Mail SMTP to have your email and website name as sender and also set up SPF record on your domaine name
You can test your email with this tool http://www.mail-tester.com/October 11, 2019 at 14:56 #7993JohanParticipant@johan- 16 Topics

I am using BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro https://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-user-profile-tabs-creator-pro/
You can manage tabs as you like (order, name, create new one, role visibility etc….) and it is compatible with Gwangi.(@themosaurusrex hope it is ok for you that I answer this post, if not please tell me)

Hi @themopteryx
Correct I use Birthdate Selector instead of Select Date.
I have just created a field DOB BP with Select Date and added in Search Form, with this field it works, from and to can be selected as dropdown list.
With Select Date
– age cannot be displayed in field list on profile
– when we choose to have it displayed on member directory it is just a number (not years)
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/pe9g8r
– on profile cover it is also just a number
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/pe9gunWith Birthdate Selector from “BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types”
– we can choose to display age instead of Date of Birth on profile and after age there is years.
Screenehost https://prnt.sc/pe9hpu
– On member directory and cover, years also display
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/pe9idq
Screenshot https://prnt.sc/pe9il6I find Birthdate Selector more ergonomic for those reasons.
Do you want me to post a feature request for BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types compatibility, or is it something which you will implement soon ?
