So I figured out that the issue was that the users hadn’t logged in and they need to log in at least once to appear. But now I have an issue of too many members appearing in the count since I have some code that hides admin members. This can be marked as resolved for now.
Sorry for all of this looks like there was a setting in the customizer that I had overlooked “Displayed Name on Profile” (to be fair, there are a lot of settings). This is now resolved.
Thanks for your continued support. Confirmed that public name is what it’s supposed to be (see attached). Updated all plugins and deactivated all the ones I added myself and the issue still persists. I even had a look at the oldest backup of the website I could find from January 31 and I’m noticing the same thing there. I’ll work on doing a brand new install tomorrow to troubleshoot some more but hopefully you have an opportunity to give this more thought and inspection to see what else might be going on. Thanks!
Found the issue, in the BuddyPress settings I had set it so that members can’t change their profile picture, but apparently that setting applies to the admin as well. Changing the settings to allow members to change their profile picture makes the option appear. Thanks!
Wow, that’s so weird, I’m not seeing that option on my end (see screenshot), even after reverting to a significantly older version of the website before I made any major changes. I figured it was odd that this feature isn’t available but apparently it’s unavailable on error. Any insight as to why this is happening would be appreciated.
Hi I would like to know if I can manually set users’ profile pictures. The default can remain as-is. As I indicated, i had installed a plugin that allows me to set someone’s profile picture but this profile picture is not being shown on the frontend only in the backend.
I think there might be a misunderstanding here. My end goal is to have a page that shows a pre-filtered view of members as opposed to all of the members. How do I go about this?
