    Thanks for restoring access to the topic. Just wanted to let you know I resolved the issue. Here was the issue. I had implemented a fix to get rid of the black WP admin bar for logged in users. You can do it with a function or one of several plugins on the market. However using this broke the uploader for profile pics on Safari. I came across this bc i could use the uploader on my admin account but not as a subscriber, where the function was being implemented. I have no idea what the two have to do with eachother. The only way i could have both things was to use a few CSS codes to get rid of the admin bar.

    So, WHY OH WHY, may i ask, is the black admin bar visible in the first place? shouldnt buddypress or the theme have that worked out natively that that doesnt show on the front end? who wants that to be seen for users of a site? nobody. unfortunately because i had to use CSS now i dont have it as an admin, which is a slight inconvenience for the ease of clicking customizer etc.

    ` #wpadminbar {
    display:none;
    }
    html {
    position:absolute;
    top:0px;
    }
    .admin-bar.grimlock–navigation-fixed #navigation.hamburger-navbar{
    top: 0px !important;
    }
    .admin-bar .slideout-wrapper{
    padding-top:0px !important;
    }

    I’m pretty sure I tried to upload the screenshot, where did it go? BTW I have written topics before and submitted them and they were not saved, and I had to rewrite them. are you aware that this is so buggy? ok here I will try again.

    So, none of what you told me was anything new that I didn’t already try. So again nothing you said actually helped solve the issue. The problem is, again another strangeness of this theme, or perhaps workign with buddypress, since I am new to it as well. I noticed that when I was finally able to see one of my effects have a change it was right after the latest grimlock update. I’m not sure if that might have been causing the problem, but I have noticed that there are glitches and inconsistencies with customizer showing things updating in real time, and sometimes not updating until you press publish and x out of customizer.

    While viewing the logged out version of my site, i was not seeing customizer changes going into effect. The changes were not shown because I was viewing the site in an incognito window, so that i could see registered changes while i am also logged in in a regular window. Since the header is waht i was editing and its different for logged in and out users, i had to edit while logged in and check my changes while logged out. in order to save time i just had my site logged out in an incognito window. XD So in order to see any customization changes you have to close the incognito window, not just refresh the window, which is what i was doing and not seeing any changes register. Then reopen a new incognito window and go to your site. I guess while in an incognito window once you load the page you are looking at a cached page, and refreshing it doesn’t show any changes you might have made in customizer until you revisit the page in a new window

    Just to let you and anyone else reading know, the 404 error was because the home page is in draft, by default. Im not sure why or how the draft can show up on the front end if youre logged in but give a 404 while logged out. In my history using wordpress, a draft isnt published and wont appear whether youre logged in or out. So no it was not a plugin conflict.

    The Kirki Grimlock duo is all about widgets. since when is that an amazing way to edit a website? Widgets are the most rigid feature of wordpress. This is a terrible theme.

    So I have a new problem, with this forum. Is there no way I can get support without posting to this public forum? I need to hide the website I’m working on, so I will need to delete all my resolved topics. However I found no way I can do this.

    So if this is representing the post about the member search. How do I solve this problem, without having to wait for people to upvote a question in an obscure support forum, which may never happen. I need a solution to this problem. Can you help me by providing a snippet or directions on how to create or aler the button to respond to the same styles as the All Members button?

    Great! that fixed it, the search now pops up and the button for that is visible, from changing the form template setting. Phew what a relief I didnt have to fuss with importing and what not. Resolved it is. Thank you!

    I see. Well let me try to wrap my head around this. When I do as you say how will I import the customizations back to get the site structure I had. I havent added content, just constructed groups, some test users, reordered the menu, and deleted unwanted pages. It may not seem like a lot but I am juggling a lot of site builds at the moment and this stuff actually took me a lot of time to fit into my schedule. I dont want to even have to recreate the groups, and upload the blasted icons and background images that I spent getting just right. I just want to continue from where I left off. Forgive me but I have rarely handled importing operations.

    This doesn’t sound like a good solution to me, You are really asking me to redo all the work ive done on this site? I dont have time for that. I have a deadline. Ive already done a lot of work on the site to get it to where it is, I can’t afford to start form scratch on this. What if that doesnt work? what basis do you have for asking me to restart the site from scratch like its no big deal? What problems down the road are you referring to?

    I’ve never used Elementor, I dont know if its enabled somewhere in the theme but I dont have it as a plugin. To be honest I am pretty experienced as a web designer and I have always used CSS. Recently I used WPBakery on a site, and it was fine. I’m not opposed to using Elementor if the site is reliant on it. All I know is in the back end, the page in question has no content, and yet on the front end there is a search and a member directory, so I dont know what is generating that, unless it is hard coded in the template? I haven’t looked at the template yet though,

    Thanks!

    At the moment I had only two pretty lightweight plugins installed that are outside of the recommended and required plugins for Cera. I deactivated those and there was still no blue pencil to be found in the customizer on that member directory page. At no time did I assign a location for the member search that i created, it just appeared on the member directory page. so thats a little odd. Now, there is also the Kirki Customizer plugin that I don’t know anything about. may that have something to do with it? Thanks for your prompt replies.

    I may not really need this page, I haven’t really investigated it but I would rather structure the site to have member directories available within the groups as opposed to a global member directory. Is that possible?
